Abstract

A convenient synthesis of 3, 5-disubstituted-(NH)-1, 2, 4-triazoles was carried out from S-methyl isothioamide andsubstituted phenyl hydrazide using different bases with high yield. The newly synthesised compoundwascharacterised by IR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy. All the synthesised compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity.
