Abstract

Highly efficient and general [PdCl2(CH3CN)2] catalysed Suzuki-Miyaura coupling (SMC) reaction betweenbromoarenes and arylboronic acid is described. The reaction proceeds rapidly at low catalytic loading (0.01 mol%) in a water/i-PrOH mixture at 60 oC. Instead of using a bulky ligand system, we have used an easily available andcost-effective palladium reagent with mild reaction conditions. This protocol features the easy approachability of thecatalyst, broad substrate scope and simple operation.
